Interactivity at Santander - robots, walls and AR

This is one high-tech Santander city, amazing that these little robots can actually direct you through a crowded space and the interactive wall looks very detailed but still consumer friendly. Not sure about the digital pillars of wavy green typography….what use do they have apart from showing off? and wasting energy of course. Technology can certainly enhance an experience but if it doesn’t have a purpose then what is the point?? This has been a particularly difficult challenge in our latest project, incorporating digital technology in order to communicate a clear message which ultimately has the end aim of discouraging the use of technology, particularly online communication.
